Cross Country Spring Training Tour is well under way!

This spring marks the first Cross Country Training Tour that I.C.E. Training Company has ever done!  The schedule usually has Rob Pincus and other staff instructors zig zagging all around the Country (or world!) in a too-ridiculous-to-be-random non-pattern at all times, but early in 2010 plans were laid to put some structure to the calendar for 2011…. And it worked!

This year, the first course of the spring training season was held in Philadelphia, PA in late March. This over-full Combat Focus® Shooting course was held at Frank’s Double Tap gun range just north of the city and was a great launch to a series of courses in a dozen states will go in an almost constant westerly wave across the country, ending in Washington and Oregon in the middle of June.

So far, classes have been held in PA, NH, VA, OH, TN, AR and MO and this week a course is starting in Oklahoma. Courses have included Combat Focus® Shooting, Advanced Pistol Handling, Combat Focus® Carbine and one Wrong Woman™ Introduction to Defensive Firearms class!  Turnout has been great so far… the Easter Weekend course (hosted by Tactical Response) had over 20 people on the line!

Slots are still available in most of the courses on this trip and several of the ones that follow on the summer and fall schedule. Click here to check out the complete Calendar of Courses! Of course, the CFS calendar is full of courses that are being offered by our Certified Instructors as well… there are now often multiple courses being run at the same time in different parts of the country.

The Student Feedback from the tour has been Amazingly Postive… here’s some  pictures and a sample of what students are saying:

“... I can say without reservation, Rob's course is among the highest (if not frankly the highest) quality for content and instruction I have had. I took a lot away from it but the standout thing (for me personally) was the improvement in my reloads at speed and under stress. FANTASTIC material and training, Rob!"

"And this weekend, I was privileged to take Rob Pincus Combat Focus Shooting. Mr. Pincus, the time was well managed and packed with instruction. This was one of the hardest working training sessions I've attended, no disparagement to any others intended. The days were long and active and I was thoroughly fatigued at the end of each session. To paraphrase, I surely got my money's worth. But more than that--I had my mental complacency challenged to rise to new skill levels. This in itself was priceless."

“I just attended Rob Pincus' Combat Focus Shooting & Advanced Pistol Course in Republic, MO and wanted to briefly share the results. My summary: "AWESOME"

I've been shooting for 25+ years. I've shot IDPA and am a descent shot. I've bought into developing muscle memory so that you I can fight as I have trained.

After taking Rob's course, my perspective is completely different. Rob studies psychology and actual shootings and has developed his course to train for what occurs naturally - under stress & fear. He teaches to find a balance between speed and precision. Be consistent. Plan to flinch. He teaches to shot from unusual positions (laying, sitting, laying on side - strong & weak, back, stomach, etc.).

He is very willing to answer questions. He is tough on the students, but I didn't want an instructor to blow smoke. I didn't go to "feel good", but be better. Rob is very demanding, as he wants precision & consistency for his students.”
