Barret Kendrick owns and operates Bearco Training in Covington, LA, which specializes in defensive handgun instruction for the general public. Bearco Training was started to help others safely get into shooting and owning firearms for the purpose of self defense.

As an instructor recognized by the Louisiana State Police, Barret has trained hundreds of students for the lawful carry of a concealed handgun. Barret is certified as a Combat Focus Shooting Instructor, Simunition Force-on-Force Instructor, NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home Instructor, NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor, NRA Handgun Instructor, Range Safety Officer, Refuse to be a Victim Instructor, and Louisiana Hunter Education Instructor.

I want to offer practical training to my students that will be of great use in real life dynamic critical incidents, not for a zombie apocalypse. The Combat Focus Shooting program answers this need.
