Mr. Semchak comes from a family of firearms instructors. Starting shooting with his father at a young age, George was hooked. He honed his skills on friends and families farms throughout California with .22’s and BB guns. Receiving his first handgun at age 12, this new tool brought new challenges. After many hours and thousands of rounds downrange he became the go to guy for friends needing firearms related help. George shot his first handgun competition in Texas in 1977, all of the hours of practice paid off. In later years he became a regular competitor in IDPA and USPSA. Winning numerous matches and a California IDPA State Championship in 2010.

George is a current NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, and holds NRA Instructor Certificates in Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Personal Defense Inside the Home. The bulk of his classes are in Personal Defensive Firearms. George holds regular instruction in Combat Focus Shooting as well as California CCW and Utah Multi State CCW through his company ShootingHelp.com. Classroom and Range facilities are outstanding. Offering amenities not often found at most ranges. He believes this makes training more conducive to the beginning shooter, families and private instruction. After taking literally hundreds of hours of firearms training from California to Massachusetts, one thing became abundantly clear to me, no one training had all the answers. I took my curriculum, added parts from other training, then another, trying to come up with the very best techniques in a fluid training system that worked for the beginning, casual and seasoned student alike. Being a video student of Rob Pincus for years, I included a few of Mr. Pincus’s drills in my CCW courses. What I found was students excelling more effectively and efficiently using his techniques.
