Why I teach Combat Focus Shooting...
Having taught firearms and defensive tactics skills to both beginners and advanced operators for many years, I find CFS to be applicable to all skill and experience levels.
CFS is a program that maximizes the learning potential of this type of training keeping it efficient and effective, honoring the common sense tradition of keep it simple.
Why teach a person who has never handled a gun the CFS program?
For one reason, a new student may be experiencing a high level of anxiety because of the nature of the activity. The CFS program addresses anxiety whether it comes from first time jitters or real situational stress that an experienced operator may encounter in their line of duty.
The second reason is results. A first time shooter can achieve and enjoy combat accuracy at a typical defensive distance with just the three simple steps of extend, touch, press! This builds the confidence a new shooter needs laying the groundwork for effective learning.
For experienced shooters these same reasons apply. Learning a new system can be intimidating even to the most advanced operator. The efficacy of the program is immediately apparent to all levels of experience!
